Terms and Conditions

This website is published by Shri Janki Vallabh Mandir Trust, which cares for the temple and Gaushala known as Param Pujya Shri Visamanbapu Ni Jagya, Paliyad (also called Vihaldham Paliyad). These terms explain how you may use this website and the basis on which the Trust accepts voluntary donations. Please read them before you use the site or make a donation. In these terms, “the Trust” means Shri Janki Vallabh Mandir Trust, and “you” means the person using this website or making a donation.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using vihaldham.org — reading its pages, viewing darshan (viewing of the deity) photographs or video, downloading an e-book, posting a comment, or making a donation — you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website and please do not send a donation.

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any donation made to the Trust through this website, or through the bank account details or QR code published on it.

You should be 18 years of age or older and legally competent to enter into an agreement before you donate. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to donate on your behalf.

The Trust is managed by its trustees. The bank accounts into which donations are received are held in the name “Shri Janki Vallabh Mandir Trust”.

3. What this website is for

This website is informational and devotional. It carries daily darshan photograph posts, a photo gallery, live darshan video, e-books, information about the mandir, the Gaushala and the seva (voluntary service) carried on there, and a way for those who wish to offer a voluntary donation.

Nothing on this website is sold. The Trust does not supply any goods or services through this site, and there are no tickets, memberships or subscriptions. Nothing physical is sent to you and there is nothing to be returned.

Information published on this website, including anything about the mandir, the Gaushala or events there, is published in good faith and can change. If you are travelling to Paliyad, please confirm by telephone before you set out.

4. Donations are voluntary

  • You decide whether to donate and how much. There is no fixed amount and no minimum — you enter the amount yourself.
  • A donation is a gift made of your own free will, out of shraddha (faith) and devotion. No one on behalf of the Trust may demand a donation from you or promise you anything in return for one.
  • All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR). Dates and times shown on this website follow Indian Standard Time (IST).

5. What you confirm when you donate

When you make a donation to the Trust, you confirm that:

  • the money is your own, or you have proper authority to give it;
  • the funds come from lawful sources and are lawfully held by you;
  • the bank account or payment instrument you use belongs to you or you are authorised to use it;
  • the details you give — name, amount, contact details, and PAN where you provide one — are true and correct;
  • you are donating without expecting any goods, service, benefit or favour in return.

6. How the Trust uses donations

Donations are applied to the religious, charitable, Gaushala and social activities of the Trust. This includes the daily worship and seva at the mandir, the upkeep of the temple and its premises, the care and feeding of the cows at the Gaushala, and the rasoi (community kitchen), prasad and other seva carried on in the name of the Trust.

The website shows donation categories — temple donation and Gaushala donation, and named offerings such as Shangar Daan, Amas Rasoi Daan, Thal Daan, Mandir Daan, Ghaschara Daan, Lapsi Daan and Tithi Daan. “Daan” means an offering, and each named offering supports the seva its name describes. The Trust makes every reasonable effort to apply your donation to the category you have chosen. Where that is not practicable, or where more has been received for a category than is needed at that time, the trustees may apply the money to another of the Trust’s religious, charitable, Gaushala or social activities. The final decision on the use of funds rests with the trustees.

7. Nothing is supplied in return for a donation

A donation is not a payment for anything. The Trust supplies no goods and no services in return for it. A donation does not create any membership, any right over the property or affairs of the Trust, any claim on its funds, and no special right of entry, seating or darshan.

8. Entering the correct amount and details

You are responsible for the amount you enter and the details you give. Please check them before you confirm a transfer. The Trust can only see what has actually been received in its account; it has no way of knowing what you intended to send.

If you believe something has gone wrong — the wrong amount, a transfer made twice, or a transfer that does not appear to have reached the Trust — please contact the Trust as soon as you can with the transaction details, and read clause 10 below.

9. When a donation is treated as received

A donation is treated as received and accepted by the Trust only when the money is actually credited to one of the Trust’s bank accounts named in clause 15. A confirmation screen, an SMS from your bank, or a UTR or reference number is proof that your bank has acted on your instruction. It is not by itself a receipt from the Trust, and it does not by itself mean the Trust has received or accepted the donation. A receipt from the Trust is issued as described in clause 12.

Banking transfers can take time to appear in the Trust’s account, and those timelines are not within the Trust’s control.

10. Refunds and cancellation

A donation is a voluntary gift. Once it has reached the Trust it is ordinarily final, and it is not refundable and cannot be cancelled.

The trustees will, however, consider a request where you can show a genuine mistake — for example the same donation transferred twice, or an amount clearly entered in error — provided you report it promptly with the full transaction details. Where such a request is accepted, the amount is returned only to the same bank account it came from, and no part of it is paid out in cash or to any other account. The decision of the trustees on any such request is final.

11. The Trust may decline or return a donation

The trustees may decline a donation, or return one that has already been received, without giving reasons. They may do so, for example, where the source of the funds is not clear, where accepting the donation would or might place the Trust in breach of any law, where the donation appears to have been made in error or by someone not authorised to make it, or where it is offered on a condition the Trust cannot accept. A donation returned in these circumstances is sent back to the account it came from.

12. Receipts

Donations reach the Trust through the bank, and a bank statement does not always show who has sent the money or for which seva. For that reason a receipt is issued on request.

After donating, please write to the Trust with the transaction details — the date, the amount, which account it was sent to, the UTR or reference number shown by your bank, and the name and address the receipt should carry. 13. 80G tax exemption

As stated on the donation page, the Trust asks for your PAN on donations to the Gaushala so that a receipt can be issued in the form used for a claim under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The 80G registration applicable to Gaushala donations is [80G REGISTRATION NUMBER AND ITS VALIDITY — to be supplied and confirmed by the trustees]. If you do not give your PAN, a receipt can still be issued, but it will not support an 80G claim.

The Trust makes no representation that an exemption is available for any donation other than a Gaushala donation. Please ask the Trust before assuming it applies. The Trust does not give tax advice. Whether you can claim a deduction depends on your own tax position and on the law as it stands when you claim, and you should check it with your own advisor.

14. Donations from outside India

Donations are invited in Indian Rupees from within India. The acceptance of a contribution from a source outside India is governed by the Indian law on foreign contributions, and the Trust’s position on such contributions is: [THE TRUST’S POSITION ON FOREIGN CONTRIBUTIONS, INCLUDING ANY FCRA REGISTRATION OR PRIOR PERMISSION — to be confirmed by the trustees]. If you are outside India, or the funds you wish to send originate outside India, please write to the Trust before you transfer anything.

15. How donations reach the Trust at present

Donations are made today by bank transfer, or by scanning the QR code shown on the donation page. The Trust holds two current accounts with Bank of Baroda, Paliyad branch, IFSC BARB0DBPYAD, both in the name “Shri Janki Vallabh Mandir Trust” — one for the temple and one for the Gaushala. Please use the account that matches the seva you wish to support.

An online payment gateway with ICICI Bank is being onboarded. It is not live yet. Until the Trust announces on this website that it is working, please use the bank details or the QR code on the donation page.

When the gateway goes live, payments made through it will also be subject to the terms of the bank and of the payment networks involved. Card, UPI and netbanking details are intended to be entered on the bank’s or the gateway provider’s own secure page, and are not intended to be collected or stored by this website. How it works will be published on this page before it is switched on.

Your bank, or the payment gateway, may apply its own charges to a transfer. Where that happens the amount credited to the Trust can be less than the amount debited to you. Any such charge is levied by that bank or gateway and not by the Trust, and a receipt is issued for the amount actually received by the Trust.

16. Donate only through the channels published here

The Trust invites donations only through the bank accounts, the QR code and, once live, the payment gateway published on vihaldham.org. The Trust does not collect donations into any personal bank account or personal UPI ID, and no one acting for the Trust will ever telephone or message you to ask for an OTP, a card number, a CVV, a UPI PIN or a netbanking password.

If you receive any such request, or you find a link, page or account collecting money in the name of the Trust that is not published here, please do not pay, and tell the Trust at info@vihaldham.org.

17. Photographs, e-books and other content

The photographs, darshan images, video, e-books, text and design on this website are published by the Trust for devotional purposes. They are offered for your personal, devotional and non-commercial use. You may view, download and share them for that purpose, with respect, and without altering them or removing any credit.

Please do not republish this material commercially, and please do not use the name or images of the Trust to collect money or to suggest an association with the Trust, without its written permission. If you would like permission, write to info@vihaldham.org. If you believe any material has been published here in error, or without the right permission, please write to the same address and it will be looked into and removed if required.

18. Acceptable use of the website

When using this website, please do not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harms the Trust or other visitors;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its accounts or the systems behind it;
  • upload or transmit harmful code, or interfere with the normal working of the site;
  • use automated means to copy the site’s content or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • impersonate the Trust, a trustee or a sant, or solicit money in the name of the Trust.

19. Comments

Visitors may leave comments on darshan posts and other pages. Comments are moderated, so yours may not appear immediately. Google reCAPTCHA is used to reduce automated spam; that is a service run by Google under its own terms and privacy practices.

The Trust may publish, edit or remove any comment without notice — for example, one that is disrespectful of any faith, deity or person, abusive, political, promotional, or that contains someone’s personal contact or banking details. Please do not post your telephone number, PAN, bank details or transaction references in a comment; send those by email instead. A comment reflects the view of the person who wrote it, not of the Trust. Please also read the Privacy Policy.

20. Links, embedded video and the map

Some pages link to, or embed, content hosted elsewhere, such as the live darshan video and the Google Map shown in the footer of every page. Those services are run by others, under their own terms and their own privacy practices. The Trust does not control them and is not responsible for their content or their availability. Following an external link is your own decision.

21. Your information and donation records

Where you give the Trust your name, contact details, PAN or a transaction reference so that a donation can be traced or a receipt issued, those details are used for that purpose and for the Trust’s own accounts and statutory records, and are not sold or rented to anyone. Donation records are kept for as long as the law requires the Trust to keep its accounts. How your information is handled generally, and the rights you have over it, are set out in the Privacy Policy.

22. The website is provided as it is

This website is provided on an “as is” basis. The Trust does not promise that it will always be available or free from interruption. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of network, hosting or power problems, and the live darshan video may be interrupted for the same reasons or because of what is happening at the mandir. The Trust tries to keep the information on the site accurate and current, but does not warrant that it is complete or free of error at all times.

23. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Trust and its trustees, volunteers and staff are not liable for:

  • loss or damage arising from your use of this website, or from being unable to use it;
  • any error or omission in the content of the website;
  • delay or failure in banking channels, payment networks, internet connectivity or hosting; or
  • a mistake made by you in entering an amount or transaction details.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

24. If you have a complaint

If you are unhappy about a donation, a receipt, a comment, or anything on this website, please write to info@vihaldham.org, or to Paliyaddham1@gmail.com for donation matters, or call +91 8758104040. Please give the transaction details where the complaint concerns a donation, so that it can be traced in the bank statement.

Complaints are handled by [NAME AND DESIGNATION OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR GRIEVANCES — to be supplied by the trustees], who can be reached at the address in clause 29. The Trust aims to acknowledge a complaint within [NUMBER OF WORKING DAYS — to be confirmed by the trustees] working days of receiving it, and to resolve it within [NUMBER OF DAYS — to be confirmed by the trustees] days.

25. General

  • Severability. If any part of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is to be read down or removed only so far as necessary, and the rest of the terms continue to apply.
  • No waiver. If the Trust does not enforce a term on any occasion, that is not a waiver of it, and the Trust may still enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Cancellation Policy, are the whole of the understanding between you and the Trust about the use of this website and the donations described here.
  • No assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else.

26. Changes to these terms

The Trust may amend these terms from time to time — for example, when the online payment gateway becomes live, or when the activities of the Trust change. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date on which it was last updated. If you continue to use the website after a change, you accept the revised terms.

27. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any donation made to the Trust through this website or through the bank account details or QR code published on it, are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction in Gujarat, India.
